The “Trio Florestan”, consisting of violinist Young-Eun Tsche, cellist Leonard Rees and pianist Sunhee Kim-Nußbeck, is an ensemble founded in 2022 and performs in Germany and other European countries. The three artists are alumis’s of the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne and share each other's musical views on chamber music.
Florestan is a fictional character of Schumann. When Schumann wanted to write about the dialectics of music, he used the names Florestan and Eusebius to express his various emotions. “Trio Florestan” was founded inspired by Schumann's romantic musical world and his literary-oriented mental world, and in that sense, expresses deep homage to him.
